F1 25’s driver ratings update sees Oscar Piastri decline

With the launch of Season 4 this week, F1 25’s driver ratings have had an update, reflecting performances in races from Baku to Mexico.

Max Verstappen continues his reign at the top, with an overall 95 rating after claiming five pole positions this year. Surprisingly, Lando Norris’s rating hasn’t changed, remaining at 92 despite the McLaren driver leading the World Championship 24 points ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri.  

Despite a difficult start in his first season at Williams, Carlos Sainz sees a rise from 84 to 85 after securing the team’s first podium since 2017. The biggest winners, however, are Ollie Bearman and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, with both drivers rising from 77 to 80.

Argentinian driver Franco Colapinto also joins the driver ratings after replacing Jack Doohan at Alpine. With no championship points, Colapinto languishes at the bottom with a 73 overall rating.

Headlining the new Season is Survival Challenge, a new limited-time online mode where the player in last place is eliminated at different intervals. Survival Tokens earned in these events can be used to unlock special liveries, including the Ferrari Monza, Sauber Miami, Red Bull Japan and Racing Bulls Miami designs from the 2025 season.  

A new Podium Pass also brings 50 levels of free and VIP rewards.
