It’s officially Week 13 for 2021 iRacing Season 3. The final season of the year is right around the corner, and as it is with iRacing, it’s almost time to test out a new build.
On the scope of builds in the history of this sim, 2021 iRacing Season 4 is a decent change for the AI aspects. New cars and tracks have been added, but on top of that, Online Multiplayer Hosted Racing now has the ability to add in AI drivers to the starting lineup.
Other known content included the additions of the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO to replace the non-EVO model, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) replacing the 991 edition, and two new tracks that were added to the service, the Hungaroring and Hickory Motor Speedway.
We didn’t get any rain in this build, however, but the company did say that they hoped to have it operational by the end of the year internally, so it’s still a work in progress.
Other neat details were dropped in video form last week, speaking on many tire updates to many cars, as well as some setup updates and physics for favorites like the lower NASCAR series cars and the Dallara IR18.
Overall, it’s a pretty big update. All the goodies can be gotten on Wednesday, 8th September when the build goes live at 7:00 AM ET / Noon BST. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for anything else that gets snuck in that’s not in the build notes below. Check them out and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
