As Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown nears its September release date, publisher Nacon has revealed a €249.90 Collector’s Edition will be made available, featuring various Test Drive-themed goodies (with or without the game, for those who prefer a digital copy).
Restricted to 2,000 units, the Collector’s Edition comprises a TDUSC-branded baseball cap, a ‘high-end’ leather key ring, an 800mm x 600mm game map and a framed model of a 1/36th scale Porsche 918 Spyder.
Because, why not?
Other featured items include a pair of ‘luxury’ cufflinks, a ceramic poker chip, a 16-page concept art booklet, a steel case containing the game and a metal Solar Crown membership card, all contained within a special Collector’s Edition box. For €250. Yes.
The Collector’s Edition will also unlock the following in-game cars for free (once the requisite level requirements are met): the Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe, the Audi R8 Spyder V10 RWS, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the Maserati MC20 and the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.
TDUSC is the latest entry in the popular Test Drive series of games, which this time takes a leaf out of Forza Horizon and it’s predecessor’s books by being set in an open world.
Focused on the roads in and around a 1:1 realisation of Hong Kong, TDUSC has had a troubled development cycle featuring countless delays.
