WATCH: Suzuka Assetto Corsa Competizione track guide

Welcome back to another Assetto Corsa Competizione track guide, this time showcasing Japan’s Suzuka International Racing Course. If you didn’t know this place and looked at a track map, you would probably think it was a fictional circuit created by a five-year-old… But don’t be fooled! This track is very much a grown-up.

Right, left, right, left, right. As you can imagine, flow and rhythm are the most important attributes when It comes to a competitive lap around Suzuka. You will spend the first half of the lap constantly trying to set yourself up for the next corner, so being two steps ahead at all times will have a big impact on times. The second half is a bit more commitment based. How fast can take 130R? How late can you brake for the chicane? Keep your head, and the results will benefit.

Here are some benchmark times to aim for:

  • Pro : 1:57.6
  • Pro/Am : 2:01.0
  • Am : 2:04.0
  • My Laptime : 1:58.1
