While Moritz Löhner was able to extend his championship lead last time out at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, the title is far from settled as there is another round of the ADAC GT Masters Esports Championship 2021 later today and then a double-header finale at Hockenheimring next month.
That means that the upcoming Sachsenring could shape the standings and set up a thrilling end to the season.
You may know the venue predominately as hosting the German round of the MotoGP championship, but over the years it’s been a staple of the real-world ADAC GT Masters championship, and before then was used for eventful DTM rounds.
Rewind even further, and the circuit used to feature the pitlane on the opposite side of the track and feature a completely different second-half to the lap – used for races such as the Super Tourenwagen Cup (STW).
Over 30 GT3 cars will take to the twisty venue across a qualifying session and two races. In-between, there will also be a race for the GT4 support class, where drivers can qualify from within the RaceRoom Racing Experience sim. Our very own John Munro will take to the grid in this race too.
The English language stream is exclusive to Traxion.GG and will be commentated on by Connery Maddick and Paul Smith, starting from 19:15 CEST / 18:15 BST.
