With the release of Assetto Corsa Competizione v1.9 and the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC pack on next-gen consoles, we thought now would be a good time to try out the game’s online multiplayer and check if the user experience has improved.

The console version of Assetto Corsa Competizione has just received its latest update, and v1.9 has arrived in record time alongside the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC pack.

Adding three new cars to the game, including the Ferrari 296, Porsche 911 R (992) and Lamborghini Huracán Evo2 GT3, plus the Circuit Ricardo Tormo track, the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC has been a hit with us and the ACC community alike, bringing new players to the sim.

And with console ACC players receiving the thin edge of the wedge in terms of gaming experience – thanks to choppy graphics and numerous other bugs – we thought now would be a great time to jump into the game’s multiplayer to see if things have improved.

Well, is it any better? Erm… not quite.

Join John as he attempts to complete a full race distance as we test out the PlayStation 5 version of ACC in online public lobbies, with a quick look at the game’s new content (players even get a swanky new McLaren 720S GT3 Evo as part of the v1.9 patch).

Have you tried out the updated Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 versions of ACC online? How was your experience? Let us know in the comments below.
