The second half of 2023 iRacing Season 3 is here! Week 7 brings a host of fun new combinations, like the Ferrari GT3 at Big Willow, the Porsche Cup at VIR, or even the Formula Vee at Rudskogen. Unfortunately, those are all off the table for Dave Cam this week, as those cars have been done and dusted in the previous six weeks.
Through six weeks of Dave Cam’s Done & Dusted Series, Dave is plus 268 iRating points, positively gaining through all six races, but the catch is that once he’s driven a particular car or type of car, that’s it, no more, find something else to drive. We want to know if Dave can have a positive iRating gain through all 12 weeks of the season with these stipulations.
The GT3, FF1600, FIA F4, LMP3, Formula Vee and now the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup are all off of the table, which makes his pickings slim from the road side. Dave figures that it’s time to hit up the oval community and see what’s going on there!
After earning his D-licence earlier in the week, Dave’s at a point where he can see his iRating gain as he takes on the Street Stock at USA International Speedway. The 0.75-mile / 1.2-kilometer circle track in Lakeland, Florida, combined with the beefy Streeter, is not what Dave is used to at all. However, Dave is set to give it his best shot this week starting from the fifth position.
It’s a 40 lap race for Dave’s short track debut. Will it be another positive iRating week or will he start handing some of that back?
