VPG Sim teases new steering wheel focused on sim racing ergonomics
Firm will be co-exhibiting with simulator supplier Podium 1 Racing
High-end steering wheel manufacturer VPG Sim has offered a tantalising glimpse of what SimRacing Expo Charlotte patrons can expect to see from the UK-based business this year.
VPG specialises in creating steering wheels for both motorsport and sim racing, with its latest Porsche 911 Cup rim developed and manufactured in the same factory as the real 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.2) wheel.
However, VPG has cryptically teased a new product ahead of SRE Charlotte on social media, with a post stating: “Mission Sim. Everything where your hands already are. No reach. No adjustment.Full control.”
More information is expected on 22nd May, just as the expo kicks off.
Tantalising
This implies that the firm, which boasts a partnership with Formula 1 team supplier bf1systems, is looking to unveil its ‘Mission Sim’ steering wheel with a laser focus on ergonomics, with possible compatibility for its recently released Duo-Mode Paddles add-on.
VPG will be co-exhibiting with simulator supplier Podium 1 Racing in booths DE6-7 for the duration of SRE Charlotte, with its incredible Ford Mustang GT3 and limited edition Daytona variant likely available for a close-up look.
This offers three days of SimRacing Expo Charlotte access, one-day access to the NASCAR Hall of Fame museum and a Race-Day Bundle for the NASCAR Cup Coca-Cola 600 at the nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Aside from VPG Sim, other hardware exhibitors include Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Heusinkveld and VRS, among many more.
