The Crew Motorfest will be released on Switch 2

The Crew Motorfest will land on a new platform later this year, when it hits Nintendo Switch 2.

Little is known about the port, with graphical settings and technical features under wraps for now.

What we do know is that Ubisoft’s open-world driving game, set on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, will be available in physical cartridge form (as opposed to a Game-Key card) alongside the digital eShop launch.

It arrives on 8th October 2026.

More The Crew Motorfest stories

Motorfest is the third game in The Crew series, moving the franchise from the USA to a smaller, more idyllic island setting. In the move, we noted a drastic increase in environmental detail and variety, making for the most compelling title.

Since its initial release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2023, it has been supported by regular playlist updates and DLC. Recent additions included free NASCAR content, a TrackForge creation tool, an additional island and paid remote control car content.

It’s not yet known if the Switch 2 version will bundle in the paid content, but considering it will release three years after the original versions, it will include significant quantities of story-based playlist content from day one.

Unlike many contemporary racing games, Motorfest was released on older generation PlayStation 4 and Xbox One hardware, alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. It would be reasonable to presume that the Switch 2 version is closer in performance to the former rather than the latter.
