Ascher Racing has unveiled a new GT-style sim racing wheel range at the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026.

The AURA GT is, fundamentally, an all-new button plate (sometimes referred to as a wheel hub), which in turn can be paired with third-party wheel rims, or two new Ascher-created units.

Each of these two fresh designs can be had in either leather or suede, meaning four new steering wheels are available.

Ascher terms it as “three shapes, five styles”. It’s also its first wheel range with native Simucube Link support, should you choose.

Billed as a successor to the existing B-Series range (the hub specifically is set to replace the Ascher B16-USB), the AURA GT wheel plate features eight RGB-backed push buttons taken from the company’s McLaren Artuta wheel range.

These sit alongside two thumb encoders, two seven-way joysticks, two 12-position rotaries and 21 LEDs.

Around the rear are ‘Gen6’ magnetic snap-action paddle shifters, which can be adjusted for both width and travel distance.

A specific ‘four paddle’ version is available, which includes two analogue clutch paddles.

In terms of compatibility, an integrated adaptor plate with both 70mm and 50.8mm bolt patterns is included to connect to third-party quick release ecosystems. Simucube Link support is available, but so too is a standard USB version which includes USB-C passthrough.

Using the AURA GT Base, Ascher will sell two main steering wheels. There’s the GT 32R and GT 320.

The former features a perfectly round rim, and the latter has a flat bottom and more pronounced side grips.

The base unit is priced from €619 for a two-paddled setup, or €799 for four paddles. Pricing for the complete £2R and 320 steering wheels is yet to be confirmed.

Shipments of the range are expected from the first quarter of 2027, and visitors to the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt this weekend can experience the new models.
