Sim racing star Rogers takes first real-world car victory, then triples up

Joshua Rogers has taken his first real-world car racing victory. Then backed it up with two more during the same weekend.

Rennsport R1 championships, 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual class winner and a double iRacing Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup champion. Joshua Rogers has conquered the competitive sim racing scene, and this season, real-world motorsport, competing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB championship.

The Australian sim racing stalwart made an impressive debut in the competition, taking three podiums during April’s opening round.

Heading into this weekend, Joe Marshall claimed every race victory in 2026, with the Porsche Coanda Esports driver scoring four podiums and a best result of second.

Competing in the competition-leading RS Pro category, Rogers then claimed his first car victory yesterday, Saturday 8th August, leading from pole around Knockhill.

Then today, 9th August, during wet conditions, he won again, despite pressure towards the end due to a late safety car restart.

He rounded off the weekend with a third victory. Three races, three wins, three quickest laps

“I was struggling a bit on Friday, to be honest,” said Rogers during the ITV4 broadcast.

“In Free Practice 2 we were able to make some good positive steps and then it all clicked in qualifying. [I] managed to start from the front and from there I could control the races.

“Massive credit to the team, they did a fantastic job getting me back on track, this performance is so much down to them.

“I come from sim racing, my full-time job is that, so I’m driving all day and every day, but in different cars and in different environments. Adapting to something that is different again and having to adjust my muscle memory, it can be a challenge sometimes, like if you’re playing football and the weight of the ball changes.

“I think that’s where I struggled in the beginning, but it all came together and I managed to figure that out thanks to the team.”

Three rounds remain of the current season, at Croft, Silverstone and culminating at Brands Hatch (Grand Prix) in October.
