The Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team has announced its final line-up for the upcoming F1 Esports Series Pro championship, using EA Sports’ F1 22.

Brendon Leigh, 2017/18 F1 Esports Series Pro champion and 2019 winner David Tonizza return to the Scuderia’s roster, accompanied by new signing Fabrizio Donoso Delgada. The Chilean is eager to improve upon his best-ever championship finish of second and appears confident of his team’s title chances:

“Ferrari has entrusted me with a very important role, given that I will have to help David and Brendon in their training and also act as a catalyst for them through my own performance. I think we can get some great results together and achieve the goals we have set ourselves.”

Marco Matassa, Team Principal of the Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team, was also bullish about his team’s chances in both driver and team championships: “This season, the Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team boasts an even stronger line-up to tackle the F1 Esports Series as front runners.

“We want to win the teams’ title in the Pro Championship, something we have not yet managed in the three years in which we have taken part. Of course, we also want to win the drivers’ championship again and, with David, Brendon and Fabrizio, I believe we have everything in place to reach our objectives.”

With the likes of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN Esports already unveiling a strong line-up, and the prospect of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports’ Jarno Opmeer aiming for a third consecutive drivers title, Ferrari is sure to face stiff competition come the start of the F1 Esports Series Pro season next month.
