Sami-Joe secures ninth 2021 eSports WRC round win in a row

Lebanese virtual rallying sensation Sami-Joe has completed a nonuple of 2021 eSports WRC victories, this time winning the Rally Italia Sardegna.

With his place in the final secure, he showed no signs of easing off, taking victory ahead of chief adversary Nexl by nearly three seconds. The podium was rounded out by Kriim. Noel in fourth meant two Race Clutch team members near the front in this round, cementing their second position in the Teams’ Championship.

Two drivers in the top ten this time around were not part of an esports squad, with Zeniou_04 in sixth and Marvin01 in eighth.

The latest round utilised two of Italian stages, the 4.13km Lerno test followed by the tricky 13.22km Monti di Ala reverse.

Only four rounds remain for those seeking World Final qualification, with new addition Kenya happening between the 18th and 21st of June, a week before the real-life WRC visits Africa for the first time since 2002.
