Saber Interactive’s RoadCraft tickled our fancy when it was released last month, providing a heavy plant sandbox filled with driving challenges and co-op fun.
We gave it an 8/10 score as a result, but lamented its dimwitted AI convoy system and tricky crane controls.
Although the studio aims to patch these issues out eventually, a full road map of proposed new and free content has also been unveiled, including a multitude of new vehicle variants and quality-of-life improvements.
The headline feature, however, is probably the introduction of a photo mode, something we craved during our extensive playthrough thanks to the game’s ‘stonkingly gorgeous’ visuals. A new ‘Hard mode’ will also be made available to all players.

The free updates will arrive during June and July at an unspecified date, with Saber also planning to bring more content as part of the game’s Rebuild Expansion, which is set to add two maps, five vehicles and a whole host of new missions. Hard mode is expected around September.
Beyond September, publisher Focus Entertainment has teased even more content to come to RoadCraft, using a wrecking ball graphic to illustrate its point. Could that be an indicator of a future vehicle? We certainly hope so!
