Rennsport’s first notable post-release update is now live, as 1.1.4 rolls out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The full changelog is listed below, but of the many tweaks, a strange bug that would see PS5 and Xbox consoles sometimes not detect a racing wheel peripheral is now claimed to be fixed.
Other items we noticed during the review period were your pitcrew floating in the sky – which didn’t affect your pitstop but did look odd – and if an AI-controlled rival went back to the pitlane, they’d sit there revving in neutral. Both are on this update’s fixed list.

Likewise, driver standings in championship mode seeing rivals switch cars in-between rounds, and the multiplayer spectator HUD is sometimes missing. Again, both should now be rectified.
Elsewhere, there’s a spate of HUD and user interface changes, all of which are welcome – although, based on the patch notes, no significant changes have been made to driving physics, game modes or AI randomness so far.
The teams at Competition Company and Teyon have said they will continue work on the title, and the first DLC pack is still slated for a December launch.
