Inspired by seminal 1990s games like Sega Rally and Colin McRae Rally, Rally Arcade Classics skidded onto Steam last September following an Early Access period. Since then, the old-school rally game has received console ports on PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
To celebrate its first anniversary, Rally Arcade Classics has received a hefty 50% discount for one week until 15th September, lowering the price to £8.37 / $9.99. At the time of writing, the discount only applies to the PC version on Steam.
Alongside the discount, the new ‘Precision & Chase’ update is also out today, adding requested features including a manual transmission option, a revamped speedometer design replacing the previous bar and an online friends list allowing players to compare their fastest times with friends on the leaderboards. New leaderboard options will also allow you to track the top ten times.
“We devoted two hard years to create this game with a passionate team and one goal: to combine elements from different eras of racing games and keep an accessible experience for both veteran and new fans of the genre,” said Salvador Casamiquela, co-founder at NetK2Games.
