Thanks to a previous announcement from KW Studios, fans of RaceRoom Racing Experience expected to see the new Porsche Pack 2023 DLC in July.

Yesterday (11th of July 2023), however, the German team confirmed the exact date when the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup, Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) would be available to purchase – the 20th of July.

And there’s more good news: all the official liveries from the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland championship will be available at launch. Das ist sehr gut, ja?!

Carrera Cup Deutschland is one of the most competitive single-make series in motorsport, featuring Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Larry ten Voorde as well as rapid young stars such as Harry King and Adam Smalley. RaceRoom already has older versions of the GT3 Cup car in-game, boasting both the air-cooled 964 and the previous-gen 991.

Handily, every track from the 2023 season of Carrera Cup Deutschland is also available to buy on RaceRoom; including the Red Bull Ring, Hockenheimring, Nürburgring, Sachsenring, Spa-Francorchamps, Lausitzring and Zandvoort.

Sweet, sweet car

There are going to be two versions of the car in RaceRoom; the GT3 Cup version – sans traction control and anti-lock brakes – and an Endurance version, where the driver aids are switched on.

Either way, the car produces over 500bhp from its four-litre, flat-six engine, with lap times only a couple of seconds off the full-blown GT3 R racecar (according to information gleaned from one of Porsche’s engineers at a Carrera Cup GB test last year).

And with an aggressively wide stance, the cars look just as good as they sound – and they sound great, the exhaust note cutting through the air like a 919 Evo through Pflanzgarten

What a noise!

The Porsche Pack 2023 DLC will be released for RaceRoom on the 20th of July, with prices yet to be announced.

Are you looking forward to simulating the entire 2023 Carrera Cup Deutschland series in RaceRoom? Are there any other series you’d like to see in-game using the Porsche 911 GT Cup (992)? Let us know in the comments below.
