RaceRoom is set to host their seventh special Ranked Event of the 2023 next weekend, on Saturday, 12th August. The venue is Road America, the 4.048-mile road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, and the race will be contested over a two hour limit with current-gen GT3 cars and the Mazda DPi on track.
There will be three regional time slots based on America, Europe and Oceania locales. The European top split will be broadcasted live on the RaceRoom social channels.
Leaderboards are open to set a time now, but the servers will be split by players Ranked Multiplayer Rank. Laps must be posted before 10th August at 13:00 CEST.
A post on the KW Studios forum revealed more of the details about the race. All drivers that set a time will be invited to race, but will need to fill out a confirmation form to lock in a spot on a grid.
This event will happen a week removed from what is scheduled in the real-world this weekend at Road America, as the IMSA WeatherTech Series is set to compete on the popular American course.
To set a lap time on the Leaderboard, players do not need to own the content. However, to participate in the event itself, players will need to own both Road America and the car you plan to use.
Some of the details have been reposted below. More details can be found on the KW Studios forum.
