- Nine new cars and one track released for PMR
- GT Icons DLC focuses on ‘60s and ‘70s sports cars, and includes a facsimile of Road America
Project Motor Racing’s latest DLC pack is out now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions of the game.
The GT Icons DLC adds nine new cars to the sim and focuses on the golden age of sports car racing through the ‘60s and ‘70s, encompassing the FIA GT, Group 4, and Group 6 categories. In-game, these are split between the GT60, GT70 and Sports Car 67 classes.
Additionally, a new track has also been added to the game, which bears an uncanny resemblance to Road America.
Rocky Knoll Raceway is located in verdant North American countryside and features the long straights and wide-open corners of the real-world Wisconsin venue. There are also two layouts to choose from, with the shorter Grand Prix Motorcycle Course available as well.
Given this DLC’s physics and handling were spearheaded by sim racing physics expert Aristotelis Vasilakos, developer Straight4 Studios is hopeful that the GT Icons pack will help shape the game’s future after a troubled beginning.
