Among the comprehensive series of announcements regarding Straight4 Studios’ upcoming Project Motor Racing, perhaps the biggest was the news that the Nürburgring Nordschleife would form part of its track roster.

The Nordschleife’s famous Karussell corner is shown briefly as a static image in the game’s launch trailer, with the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh taking centre stage on its historic banking, chased by a Lister Storm GT and a Lola T70.

It’s an incongruous lineup for sure, but it points towards PMR’s motorsport-focused approach to racing simulation, which could mean there will be more GT3 representation to complement the  ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship, which is exclusively held on the Nordschleife.

The Nordschleife is one of four currently confirmed tracks for the game, with Lime Rock Park, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Kyalami previously revealed. Sebring and Interlagos were previously unveiled under the game’s previous guise as GT Revival but have yet to be confirmed as appearing in PMR.

Project Motor Racing set for 29th April unveiling
