It has been just over a week removed from the 2022 Formula 1 season finale at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. To signify the end of the season, EA has gone and updated the driver ratings for the 2022 roster of Formula 1 drivers once again on F1 22.

Still at the top of the pile is the now two-time World Champion Max Verstappen, touting a 95 overall rating while some of his numbers in awareness and pace slightly dropped. The seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton maintains second at a 93 overall.

Big moves in rating came from George Russell and Esteban Ocon, the only two drivers to gain a rating point in the update. Both drivers gained rating in three of there categories and both move up the boards to be 91 and 83 overall, respectively.

On the flip side, there were a lot of movements in the opposite direction. Half of the grid lost overall rating points with Alex Albon, Daniel Ricciardo, Mick Schumacher and Nicholas Latifi taking the biggest hits, all losing three full rating points. Mick lost 10 points in Awareness and Nicky lost 10 in Racecraft.

Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasly and Zhou Guanyu all lost a single rating point while both Lance Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda lost two points a piece. Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen had rating points move around in certain categories, but they maintained the overall.

Both Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas were the only drivers untouched completely from the last update, not gaining or losing in any categories at all, maintaining their 85 and 83 overall ratings respectively.

As we head into the 2022 offseason, it’s unlikely that these rating will change for a while as they are usually based on current results and such. Do you agree with these rating points to conclude the 2022 season? Is anyone overrated or underrated? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
