The publically in-development sim racing platform, Rennsport, has taken another step forward in recent days with the addition of a fourth venue – the Nürburgring.
Following the Hockenheimring, the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb and Spa-Francorchamps, the Grand Prix layout of Rhineland-Palatinate’s legendary circuit is now available in the private early-access build designed for content creators and esports competitors.
Rennsport is being used for the new ESL R1 championship, where Spa debuted for the simulation and the circuits set to be used for the remainder of the inaugural Spring Season are yet to be unveiled.
It’s not a giant leap to assume the Nürburgring GP will be used in at least one upcoming round.
“We will definitely announce and bring some new race tracks into the game this year,” said Rennsport CEO Morris Hebecker to Traxion.GG.
“Sometimes ESL R1 will announce or bring maybe some new content, which we have not yet released via our Rennsport channels. But for us, this is one big project.”
With the car and track list on the small side so far, Rennsport is still in the nascent stages of development by the new start-up Competition Company GmbH, so the line-up is expected to grow over the coming months.
