Next Level Racing overhauls best-seller cockpit with the GTRacer 2.0
The GTRacer has long been billed as a compact and relatively affordable way of going direct drive sim racing. Next Level Racing has now updated this popular cockpit choice.
Next Level Racing’s GTRacer has always been a solid sim racing cockpit choice for around $440, especially if you have a direct drive wheel (up to 13Nm of peak torque) and are looking for both the cockpit and an adjustable seat in one set.
Now, the Australian company has gone one step further by updating its range staple with a version 2 edition.
The GTRacer 2.0 is much like the original, but the seat has been made wider to accommodate more sim racers. Its double recliner mechanism and double seat sliders have been redesigned to increase stability and easier adjustment, so says its manufacturer.
Perhaps the most notable improvement is to the pedal tray, which unlike the original can now be adjusted. The tilt and height function should help with greater ankle and foot comfort.
In the set is the cockpit frame, the seat, seat sliders, a mount for shifter or handbrake affixing, plus a mounting pole ready for Buttkicker fitment. Much like the original, the wheel and shifter plates are adjustable. It’s compatible with a wide range of optional Next Level Racing monitor stands.
“The GTRacer 2.0 builds on the success of the original GTRacer, with refinements and new features that our sim racing community asked for,” said Hess Ghah, CEO of Next Level Racing.
“It’s a true evolution—offering an even more immersive experience while staying budget-friendly.”
The reinforced unit is on sale as of today, 12th February 2025, and for the same price as the ‘1.0’ version – $449.00 USD / $549.99 CAD / €399 (VAT included) / £379 (VAT included) / $599.00 AUD, ¥64,000.
