There’s some new NASCAR 21: Ignition content available today (11th November), and it’s all about the throwbacks. The Throwback DLC Pack for NASCAR 21: Ignition dropped on Thursday with NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip featured as the included Legendary Driver.
With schemes included from the 2021 NASCAR Throwback event held at Darlington Raceway earlier this season, the Throwback DLC Pack offers more than 80 new paint schemes to play as. It includes the race-winning Martin Truex Jr ‘Auto Owners Insurance’ scheme, which pays tribute to his former Furniture Row Racing ride. The pack also includes a good number of other schemes that were raced throughout the 2021 season.
The featured Darrell Waltrip paint scheme is a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE NASCAR Gen 6 variant of his 1990’s No. 17 Western Auto Chevrolet Lumina and Monte Carlo rides. Waltrip joins the Champion’s Edition Cover Driver Bill Elliott as the second legendary driver from NASCAR’s past in the new game. Like Elliott’s No. 9 Melling Performance Parts Ford Mustang in the game, it’s a recreation of a historic scheme that is molded to today’s bodies.
Elliott and three to-be-added legendary drivers were announced at launch, and now we know that Waltrip was the second of four total. Elliott’s scheme comes with the Champion’s Edition and each of the DLC packs contain a legend. Two more DLC packs are slated to be added in the future, the Patriotic and Playoff DLC packs, and both will be a part of this first Season Pass.
The full list of paint schemes included are listed down below. Some schemes are only available for those aged 21 and older if it is set properly in the game settings. Those schemes portray alcoholic content and are designated on the spreadsheet below.
