The upcoming MXGP 26 has a release date of 1st October 2026, as fresh gameplay footage has been showcased.
Created by Artefacts Studio, this is the second official game of the FIM Motocross World Championship published by Nacon.
After a disastrous attempt in 2024, the French outfit took a year off to switch to the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine and polish the physics systems.
MXGP 26 is the result of this concerted effort.

It has been previously discussed that a rider customisation system is included, where real-world licensed crash helmets, boots, pants, jerseys, gloves and goggles can be purchased and altered. A recent gameplay showcase briefly showed this in action for the first time.
On track, we said the following during our recent hands-on preview:
“The upcoming game still lacks a fluency to cornering, sometimes defaulting to the front pushing wider than you may anticipate. It misses that extra mid-corner rider flexibility of Supercross 25, for instance.”
