Moza takes the wraps off new licensed Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and Ford steering wheels

Moza has continued its foray into licensed steering wheels by revealing four new wheel rims set for release in the coming months.

The Chinese brand has previously released two branded wheels from Lamborghini (Revuelto Sim-Racing Steering Wheel and Essenza SCV12 Sim-Racing Steering Wheel) and one from Porsche (MOZA Porsche Mission R).

Moza Porsche 911 GT3 RS Steering Wheel

The Porsche and Moza collaboration is set to continue, as its 911 GT3 RS replica is on display at Gamescom this week, August 26th-30th. 

Although Moza exhibited a similar Porsche wheel at last year’s event, the latest iteration appears more pared back, with materials apparently similar to its Lamborghini Revuelto wheel. This offers hope that the GT3 RS wheel will come with a similarly accessible price tag and be available before 2027.

Designed using the Zuffenhausen firm’s original CAD data, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS wheel includes the option for a detachable display and a functional centre boss-based horn button – handy for tempestuous blue flag moments.

Moza Ford Mustang GTD Sim Racing Steering Wheel

Previewed last week, the Moza Ford Mustang GTD Sim Racing Steering Wheel is naturally based on the rim used in Ford’s insane track car, the GTD.

Heavily inspired by Moza’s incumbent CS Pro Steering Wheel, the GTD features a plethora of inputs and buttons and additional metal paddle shifters. The GTD also has an extra four face buttons and two switches across its centre.

Given the plastic switchgear, we’d expect this to be priced as a mid-range wheel, and it’s expected to release later this year.

Mercedes-Benz

Moza also introduced two prototype Mercedes-Benz wheels at Gamescom. The Moza X Mercedes-Benz GT Steering Wheel is generically based on the Stuttgart marque’s range of GT race cars.

However, the Mercedes-Benz GT is some way off the lithe dimensions of Mercedes-AMG’s GT2 and GT3 monsters, instead looking far more functional and suitable for formula and sports car driving. It’s no doubt heavily influenced by the Moza KS Pro steering wheel.

Perhaps the biggest draw for Moza fans is its VISION ONE-ELEVEN-inspired steering wheel, which features four 1.04-inch circular displays with integrated rotaries and a magnetic centre boss that gives way to reveal a central 2.85-inch display.

It also features eight face buttons, two thumbwheels, and two seven-way funky switches, taking its retro-futuristic design cues from the firm’s 2023 VISION ONE-ELEVEN concept car .

Both Mercedes-Benz wheels are still in development, with a likely release date in 2027.
