Following its launch last year, the 9Nm of peak torque R9 wheel base is one of the Traxion team’s favourites. To date, it’s only been available separately, which is ideal if you’re someone who already owns Moza ecosystem steering wheels and pedals. Not so great if you’re just starting out, however.
That changes today, 20th September, with the unveiling of three bundles that all include the R9, joining the existing entry-level R3 and R5 sets.
The most obvious bundle, in our opinion, is the package that includes the GS V2 steering wheel. Both initially released at the same time, the GS is a wide wheel with magnetic shift paddles. “The inputs on the GS wheel are where this rim really shines,” we said in our review at the time.
The R9 with the GS in the same pack costs $949/€949/£859, a saving of ~£20 if purchased separately.
The RS V2 wheel and GS GT V2 wheel are also now available with the R9 as a single purchase. Of the two, the RS is the more premium item, with additional buttons and a genuine leather wrap, although both are sized to 13 inches.
The R9 base and CS V2 wheel bundle is priced at $669/€739/£649. As a stand-alone, the R9 usually costs £409 and the CS £269, so a saving of nearly £30. Finally, the R9 and RS V2 bundle is $839/€899/£839.
