Moza Racing has filled the sim racing equipment market with entry-level devices, high-end steering wheels with round screens in the middle and even a force feedback gear shifter.
But now it is time to circle back to the beginning, as it’s time for its first-ever wheel base, the R21, to be replaced. Launched in 2021 alongside a lower-power R16, and then receiving a V2 update in 2023, these have now been superseded by the R21 Ultra DD Wheel Base (21Nm of torque) and R25 Ultra True Torque DD Wheel Base (25Nm of torque).
These are all-new designs, inside and out. They both include what Moza touts as a “next generation flat-wire” force feedback motor, which, as is the trend with current offerings from the likes of Thrustmaster, Simagic and PXN, promises “zero coggging”.
This is a phenomenon where you could feel ‘steps’ in a force feedback system, so a setup designed to avoid such sensations, on paper, should deliver smoother performance.

The Chinese sim racing giant also claims that the R25 has the quickest torque response, at least 10Nm per millisecond (torque slew rate), in the entire industry – for comparison, a Simucube 2 Pro is rated at 8.0 Nm/ms and the Asetek Invicta at 9.4 Nm/ms.
