Griiip Automotive Engineering, whose ‘GriiipPerformance’ app provides real-time, telemetry-based insights on sim racers’ driving performance, has announced a strategic partnership with renowned motorsport team Manthey Racing.
Griiip hopes the tie-in will provide its customers with better engineering insight into how to improve both their real-world and virtual driving thanks to Manthey’s extensive race performance and engineering knowledge.
Manthey has been synonymous with Porsche since the team’s inception in 1996, forging a close relationship to help win championships in the World Endurance Championship, Porsche Supercup and the DTM, as well as take five class wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The partnership will filter through into the GriiipPerformance app in early 2025, replete with top-tier input from the Porsche-owned firm. “By combining Manthey’s world-class expertise with our cutting-edge data platform, we’re democratizing access to performance insights,” stated Tamir Plachinsky, CEO of Griiip.
“Teams, drivers, and even fans all across the industry will now be able to leverage the same powerful data tools traditionally available only to top-tier engineers,” he concluded.
“Our goal is to give more people access to effective analysis tools so that teams and individuals – even those with limited resources – can benefit from the advantages of data analysis,” said Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH. “We are excited about the future and have some exciting plans for the further development of this product,” he added.
