How to enter the Genesis Magma Racing Esports Series

Phase 1, Qualifying

The first part of the competition will see eight weeks of racing within Le Mans Ultimate.

Each week is one round, and competitors can enter that round (i.e. race) up to three times. Think of it as you have three attempts, with your best score counting.

At the end of the eight weeks, or rounds, your best six results count. In effect, there are two drop scores.

Once this phase is complete, the top 20 in the global standings plus the 10 best Korean drivers will progress to the main GMR Esports Series.

• 6th October – 13th October – Week 1: Sebring
• 13th October – 20th October – Week 2: Fuji
• 20th October – 27th October – Week 3: Monza
• 27th October – 3rd November – Week 4: Bahrain
• 3rd November – 10th November – Week 5: Portimão (Algarve International)
• 10th November – 17th November – Week 6: Bahrain Alt
• 17th November – 23rd November – Week 7: Spa-Francorchamps
• 23rd November – 1st December – Week 8: Le Mans

Phase 2, GMR Esports Series finals

Then it’s on to the final four races, which will be officially organised and professionally broadcast events. For those who don’t make it, fret not; you can watch the action live on Traxion.GG and Genesis Magma Racing channels.

For those participating, there are three 45-minute races, followed by a two-hour endurance race to end, all in December.

These final four broadcast races will also introduce a strategic ‘wildcard’ element. These will be confirmed in the run-up to the events, but, for example, could include dynamic weather or increased tyre wear.

• 11th December – Race 1 – 45 Minute Sprint Race: Spa-Francorchamps
• 12th December – Race 2 – 45 Minute Sprint Race: Interlagos
• 18th December – Race 3 – 45 Minute Sprint Race: Circuit of the Americas
• 19th December – Race 4 – 120-minute Endurance Race: Le Mans

What you need to participate

Naturally, you need a PC and a copy of Le Mans Ultimate. But that’s it for the qualifying stage.

These races all take place using the GMR-001 car, which is free content for Le Mans Ultimate, and on included tracks. This first phase also uses the in-game Online Championship mode, which is typically reserved for RaceControl Pro or Pro+ subscribers only. However, just for this Genesis competition, it will be free to use too.

For the title-deciding final four races, two DLC tracks, Interlagos and Circuit of the Americas, will need to be purchased.

Prizes

The full prize pool will be announced at a later date, but at the very least, one driver will be offered the full-time role of a GMR Esports Driver for the 2027 Season.

A possible real-world Genesis Magma Racing (GMR) Trajectory Programme opportunity is also under consideration, but remains to be confirmed.

Entry requirements

The Genesis Magma Racing Esports Series is a global competition, with some entry requirements.

For example, you must register on the Genesis Magma Racing Esports Series online hub, first, which can be found on the Traxion.GG website. Then, you can enter the events inside Le Mans Ultimate.

The competition is limited to one steam account per driver.

The following regions are exempt from participation:

• Russia 

• Belarus 

• Iran 

• Syria 

• Afghanistan 

• Yemen 

• Sudan 

• South Sudan 

• Myanmar (Burma) 

• Democratic Republic of the Congo 

• North Korea
