The next major update for Gran Turismo 7 will land on Thursday 26th May 2022.
The Gran Turismo website has delivered a servicer maintenance notice, highlighting that the game’s online functionality will be offline between 6 am – 8 am UTC / 7 am – 9 am BST this Thursday.
During the period of server maintenance, we expect the game patch to land for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Following a tweet by series producer Kazunori Yamauchi on 21st May that stated “update is coming next week”, we know that three new cars will be added to the game during this update.
Of the three cars mysteriously cloaked in darkness, one is the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar and the second is a SEMA award-winning GoPro Rampage Camaro 1970. The third car remains a mystery for now.
If there are any new race events, Missions, Music Rally challenges or online lobby updates remains to be seen. In April’s update, there was an extra Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour pitlane layout and new scapes alongside three new cars. We’ll let you know tomorrow morning as to the full changes.
Let us know in the comments below what you’d like to see in the next Gran Turismo 7 update.
