Of note, despite AMS2 being billed as an official IMSA game, and adorned with IMSA logos, the model will not arrive with the real-world race liveries (main article image).
“We have the THOR liveries for both the Valkyrie and the GT3 Evo ready to go but we are still working on getting permission from the racing team to include them in the game as they co-own the livery IP with AMR; that won’t happen in time for the original release but if and when it does we will update these liveries accordingly,” said Studio Head and Project Manager, Renato Simioni, on the Reiza Studios forum.

Then there’s the additional – non-IMSA-related – Ligier JS2-R. Think of it as an obscure, French, one-make GT4-style race car. In the real-world, it runs in a series alongside another Ligier prototype style (JS P4) prototype. To that end, Reiza teases:
“The Ligier JS2-R as for now the sole contender in the new Ligier European Series – watch this space as there is more to come here.”

Nürburgring 2025 DLC
In somewhat of a surprise twist, the update to the Nürburgring in 2025 form will be paid DLC – those who own the Nürburgring Pack do not automatically receive this latest version.
They will receive updated 3D meshes and (some) artwork changes to the existing 2022-edition, however, for no further charge.
The developer touts this as a “top-to-bottom overhaul” and “the most up-to-date representation of the legendary racetrack on any racing simulator,” although some of the key kerbing changes have not been previewed in the released still images as of yet.
The DLC will include three layouts: Nordschleife, Grand Prix and 24h. It will not include the tourist layout and the outlap shortcut for the 24h layout. These are “still planned for subsequent updates,” according to Reiza.
A full changelog is expected alongside the paid content launch, and within it, some tweaks to online multiplayer stability are to be part of the patch. There’s also now an IMSA-specific DLC bundle that includes all the cars and tracks related to that championship.
