F1 25 2026 Season Expansion Pack to be revealed this week

For the first time in over a decade, Codemasters and EA won’t be launching an annual F1 title this year. Instead, F1 25 will receive a 2026 Season Expansion Pack, with a new “reimagined” game set to follow in 2027.

Its release date has remained a mystery since its announcement last November, but EA has confirmed we’ll be getting a first look at the season expansion this week.

A teaser shared on social media confirms that F1 25’s 2026 Season Pack will be unveiled on Wednesday, 20^th May, with a reveal trailer premiering at 4PM BST.

The artwork shows drivers Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Gabriel Bortoleto walking on a circuit with a “Madring” logo appearing on a gantry in the background, seemingly confirming that the expansion will include the new Madrid-based track.

Covering 5.4 kilometres (3.3 miles), the technical circuit features 22 turns and is set to make its real-world debut during the Spanish Grand Prix in September.

As part of a “strategic reset for the F1 franchise,” the DLC expansion will include the current season’s new cars, teams and drivers. It will also represent new regulations introduced in this year’s championship, with lighter cars and new power units with a near 50/50 split between electric and combustion energy.

As part of the new regulations, drivers must manage their energy and choose when to charge the battery or deploy full power. It will be interesting to see how Codemasters has adapted these changes in F1 25’s gameplay.  

Audi and Cadillac also joined the team lineup, with Audi replacing Sauber.

A release date and pricing for the F1 25 2026 Season Expansion Pack are yet to be confirmed, but more details are expected to be revealed when the trailer drops in a few days.

Beyond the expansion, Codemasters teases that the new 2027 game will deliver a “refreshed experience” that “looks, feels and plays differently,” while “delivering more gameplay choices.”
