Euro Truck SImulator 2’s v1.53 update is available to download now. While it’s not as feature-packed as some of SCS Software’s other patches it does offer reworks for several German cities and the Volvo FH Series 4 trucks, bringing them up to modern graphical standards.
Germany reworks
First up, the German cities of Munich, Mannheim, Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin have all been completely overhauled and given a ground-up rework.
Using ‘advanced map techniques and technologies’, SCS has refreshed Germany’s highways, industries and points of interest. These updates are freely available to all ETS 2 owners.
Volvo FH Series 4 rework
Volvo’s popular truck, the FH Series 4, has also been given a new lick of paint, using new CAD data to accurately replicate the ageing model’s interior and exterior. Its underlying chassis has also been re-textured, with a new ‘25 Years of Volvo FH’ livery available to all players.
The ‘Volvo FH Tuning Pack’ DLC also features overhauled additional tuning parts, including front and rear fenders, bumpers, roof deflectors and other hop-up options. These will only be available to owners of the DLC, however.
