Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Greece DLC gets 2024 release date

Euro Truck Simulator 2’s next map add-on has just been given a December release date, with Greece set to join its extensive roster of countries.

Famously known as the birthplace of Western civilisation, Greece consists of thousands of small islands, making it an important shipping centre, with industries like fishing and agriculture (especially olive oil production) especially prevalent.

But perhaps Greece’s biggest moneymaker is its tourism industry: its Mediterranean climate, historic landmarks and excellent cuisine make it a favourite with holidaymakers.

SCS Software aims to bring much of Greece’s flavour to ETS 2, implementing numerous ferries for island-hopping with cities like Kalamata, Kavala, Mytilene, Argostoli, Chios and Rhodes appearing resplendent in preview screenshots.

Virtual drivers travelling to Heraklion will travel through the Heraklion Port Passenger Station, which has been precisely recreated in-game for added realism. Players are also likely to be treated to some of Greece’s most famous ancient landmarks when the DLC drops next month.
