The work continues on EA SPORTS F1 24, this season’s official Formula 1 driving game, with a version 1.8 update imminent.
Those playing on Xbox with a wheel are in luck – should you own the console-compatible Moza Racing ES steering wheel, launched as part of the R3 bundle, you will now be able to race with an expanded roster of wheel bases.
Alternatively, you may own the Turtle Beach VelocityOne device, telemetry support will be added for game-specific information on its display.
In addition, Jeddah’s pitlane speed limiter is now set to 80kph and when crashing, detached wheels should now stay closer to the car thanks to shortened tethers. For the career mode, AI-powered opponents can now buy upgrades on the last day of the season.
Track limits have been non-specifically tweaked, altering time trial times and in theory, lowering the number of exploits.

In terms of bugs, the Achievement/Trophy for being a ‘True Fan’ should now unlock at the correct 10,000 Fanzone points and the AI should stop celebrating wins prematurely – among other fixes.
