  • Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush is an arcade-only combat racer
  • Features motion controls and full-size motorcycle controllers
  • Previewed at Amusement Expo International, Las Vegas, between 16th and 19th March 2026

We didn’t see this one coming, but Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush is an official video game follow-up to CD Projekt RED’s epic open-world adventure.

It’s a combat racer featuring seven selectable characters (yes, including both male and female versions of V) and eight typically futuristic motorcycles battling through four distinct environments inspired by the Polish studio’s highly-rated Cyberpunk 2077.

There’s a catch, however, with the game currently only slated to appear in arcades, with a twin-cabinet setup ensuring you and a friend can participate in a Road Rash-style free-for-all. This means players can use weapons such as handguns and rockets, as well as every speed demon’s favourite, the katana.

Chrome Rush will be previewed at this year’s Las Vegas-based Amusement Expo International, running from 16th to 19th March, with developer Unis Technology incorporating motion technology into its full-size motorcycle controllers.

Riding a bike while brandishing a katana isn’t safe

Retaining a similar aesthetic to the dystopian RPG, Chrome Rush’s early trailer suggests that some work remains to smooth out its visual performance, but with a proven combat-racing formula, the game should fare well upon release.

Speaking of which, no release date has been set for the arcade cabinet, and no further information has been proffered concerning a console port. Johnny Silverhand would disapprove.
