The sim racing platform that allows you to find competitive races and become part of like-minded communities has today (1st August 2023) left its beta phase of development.
After three years of development, founder and Managing Director Tomas Vaiciunas and the team decided to mark the occasion by also implementing several new features.
Community admins will now have the option to implement around-the-clock daily racing and use an automatic splitting function calculated by using the ‘SGP Pure Performance Rank’. SGP has been working behind the scenes on the multi-split functionality for some time, and its current MOZA Endurance Championship is being used to debut the feature.
Optional Driver Plans will also become available, which allow the monetary contribution to support communities within the SGP platform, plus the service itself. Drive and Sport tiers of these plans allow the use of ‘Fuel’ as a form of contribution.
“This is an incredibly exciting moment for all of us at SGP,” said Vaiciunas.
“The goal of Simracing.GP was removing barriers to run racing for everyone who had ideas on how to
organise races from a small group of friends to worldwide racing communities, and these latest updates support that journey.
“Leaving beta is a milestone moment for us, but doesn’t signify the end of development. We are
committed to developing even more tools that empower our communities to grow and take on the biggest in the industry.”
The platform so far hosts over 600 racing communities and has provided racing opportunities to almost 75,000 drivers.
