Caddy confirmed: Cadillac V-Series.R comes to iRacing in 2023 Season 3

The rumors and hints were true. iRacing confirmed on Friday (2nd June) that another LMDh / GTP Hypercar would be joining the service in the upcoming 2023 Season 3 build, and as we speculated, it will be the Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh / GTP.

This Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh / GTP is General Motors’ solution to the new LMDh / GTP classification in place for 2023 and beyond. It competes in IMSA competition against the BMW, as well as the Acura ARX-06 and the Porsche 963. The car is also heading to France next week for the big one, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Back in 2023 Season 1, iRacing released the BMW M Hybrid V8, the first LMDh / GTP car on the service. Now, users should be able to choose between the two in official and hosted competition.

It helps that iRacing is expected to increase the different car limit from eight to nine in the upcoming build as well. That means the car can potentially compete during the Watkins Glen 6HR presented by VCO in two weeks.

Now we know what was roaring around the streets of Detroit. The only question that remains is if or when we will see any others join the fray, such as the two others in IMSA competition, that Acura and the Porsche.

The Cadillac GTP joins the Ligier LMP3 and Willow Springs as confirmed for the launch next Tuesday, 6th June.

Also, Pablo “The Pulpo” López on Twitter shared that MotorLand Aragón would also be releasing next week. iRacing basically confirmed it when they retweeted him. Look for all that and more when the new build launches next week.
