BeamNG’s latest update adds giant school bus and armoured truck

TikTok creators of the world, there’s a new BeamNG update with an armoured Gavril MD that looks exactly like every bank vehicle from 1990s American movies. Expect the soft-body physics to be in full force, as crummy saloons fold against its sides.

Bullet-proof glass, money bags and auto-locking rear (and manual front) doors also feature, ideal for recreating film scenes on social media. If you don’t believe us, check out the chase scene from Lethal Weapon 3…

On the same platform is a bus, in short and long forms. Predominantly billed as a yellow school bus – with folding crossing arm and stop sign and functioning emergency exits – prison, derby, off-road, JATO and ram plow (naturally) configurations are included.

Two refreshed vehicles

A couple of existing cars have been given a makeover, with enhanced details and extra variants.

The classically styled Burnside has expanded with 2-door sedan and 2-door hardtop bodies, a chopped roof option, optional rust, optional facelift, new engines and added trinkets.

A similar suite of upgrades has also hit the Ibishu Miramar, with Coupe and Ute bodystyles now part of the roster.

Elsewhere…

There are three new missions to match the updated vehicles (Miramar Menace, Fragile Asset and Outback Bangers), all materials in the West Coast area are now physically based rendered and the main menu is new, with an emphasis on quick-start experiences.
