Automobilista 2’s latest update adds surprise Pocono Raceway

Sometimes, it’s hard to tell what will arrive next for Automobilista 2. The driving game has such a wide array of vehicle genres and obscure circuits – all of which add to the ‘pick n mix’ variety that is a strong suit – that predicting what is in development is nigh on impossible.

Take the winter 2026 V1.6.9 update, for example. Developer Reiza Studios telegraphed the quality-of-life changes and supplementary DLC.

These include the optional Supercars Pt2 DLC pack for $7.99, which includes the Maserati GT2 Stradale, Audi R8 V10 GT, Dodge Viper ACR and previously discussed Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Then there is a suite of ‘NASCAR style’ (wink wink, nudge nudge) stock cars, free for those who already own or purchase the existing Racin´USA Expansion Pack. Similarly, those who buy the Nürburgring 2025 pack now have access to the Touristenfahrten layout.

But, unpredictably, Pocono Raceway is now part of the AMS2 track roster. Built in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, the tri-oval is known as ‘The Tricky Triangle’ and features the ‘Long John’ – a toilet facility with over 1,000 stalls.

There’s also a historic version of Fontana’s Oval layout.

As is usually the case, all new paid-for DLC is free to test for a limited period: “until the early days of 2026,” according to the creation team.

Outside of content, a new work-in-progress HUD can be selected, there’s further work on tyre behaviour, a free camera mode has been added and the formula-class cars have been rebranded:
