At last, Fanatec confirms Podium Pedals

Despite offering three sub-brands for wheels – CSL, ClubSport and Podium – Fanatec has omitted a range-topping set of matching pedals. Until now at the SimRacing Expo, where it has unveiled the Podium Pedals.

While carbon fibre pedal plates and a forged aluminium brake pedal are eye-catching, the key focus, according to Fanatec, is brake feel.

The load cell, rated at 200kg, is paired with the ‘Elastomer Compression Control System’ – a patented design.

Elastomers are commonly found in sim racing pedals, the small flexible items inserted into the brake of different strengths, affecting both force and feedback.

Here, the cylindrical setup consists of four ‘cups’, which can be tightened or loosened without tools. Inside these are the elastomers, so also four in total. In essence, it delivers a similar effect to changing between firmer or softer elastomers on other pedals, but without the need to swap parts.

You can tighten the cups all the way to be fully closed. Doing this would make the brake pedal feel like a brick wall, with no movement. Or adjust the other way, for a long brake pedal response.

A key consideration is what Fanatec describes as ‘overstressing’ the elastomers, whereby they are pushed over their limits, wear, crack or perform differently through their lifespan. The cup system is stated to prevent this. 

Outside of the ‘ECCS’ is a spring which can be swapped to change the overall linearity. A mounting plate will be available as an optional extra, but the ability to adjust the clutch biting point is included. The company promises vast adjustment options, and they are designed with the ability to invert.

The Podium Pedals will be available in two varieties:

• Podium Pedals – Brake, throttle and clutch pedals
• Podium Pedals Formula – Brake and throttle pedals with carbon heel cups and built-in side supports

Each includes ‘haptic mounts for future expansion’. It is expected that they will be released in Q1 2026 alongside a new Podium wheel base. No pricing has been confirmed, although they are compatible with all Fanatec wheel bases.
