Asphalt: Legends Unite lets you drive a Lego Technic Corvette

The Lego Technic Corvette Stingray stars in Asphalt: Legends Unite’s new limited-time special event.

Asphalt Legends Unite lets you drive a Lego Technic Corvette

Updates for Gameloft’s free-to-play mobile racer Asphalt: Legends Unite, formerly Asphalt 9: Legends, often add exotic supercars. Last month’s Carnival Rush update brought the Ferrari 499P Modificata track weapon to the roster, along with the Kimera Automobili Evo37 (a ravishing Lancia 037 restomod) and the Lamborghini-inspired FV Frangivento GT65, among other cars.

These cars are rarely seen in racing games. And yet, the latest update includes something even more unusual: a Lego Technic car.

As part of a partnership with the Lego Group, Gameloft is bringing several Lego Technic cars to Asphalt: Legends Unite starting with the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8, with more to be announced.

The physical Lego Technic Corvette Stingray went on sale earlier this month and can be ordered on Lego’s website for £54.99 / €59.99 / $59.99. Each set includes a free download code to unlock the digital car in Asphalt: Legends Unite.

Asphalt: Legends Unite players can race the Lego Technic Corvette in a limited-time Collector Mode special event available until 23rd March, where you must collect Lego Technic discs scattered around San Francisco within the time limit.

The more discs you collect, the more time is added, with high scores tracked in a leaderboard against other players.

Lego

It’s one of several special events scheduled for the ongoing Gold Pursuit season, with other events highlighting cars like the Nissan GTR-50 Italdesign SE, Faraday FFZERO1 and Frangivento GT65 GP.

Lego’s Technic building sets feature working mechanisms, making them more complex than regular Lego builds. For example, the Corvette Stingray has working steering and a moving eight-cylinder engine and differential, as well as an opening bonnet and doors.

This isn’t the first time Gameloft has collaborated with Lego, with the Lego Technic McLaren Senna GTR joining Asphalt 9: Legends’ roster in 2021.
