As the 2025 Season 1 patch notes have been published, while we await the service to become live once more, we can see that several notable quality-of-life updates have also been implemented.
Chiefly, it’s the second simulator to release an updated track debris system today, as the much-touted Dynamic Track debris has been implemented. This should see gravel, for instance, be spread across the track surface should someone visit it.
But then, through a race, the theory being it is then swept away by passing cars – with changes in grip during the process.
During online races, the netcode is said to have been revised to avoid, or diminish, ‘lag’, otherwise expressed as excessive movement of a car driven by someone with a poor connection.
For those racing in the wet, the introductory Formula Vee is now part of the rain-tyre roster, alongside every new car released this season.
When racing against the AI, the option to have 16 different car types within a race is now possible and the built-in spotter can now more precisely talk about damage levels.
For the GTP (or LMDh if you know…) cars, there is now the cool ‘bump start’ feature in pitroad, with revised MGUK usage. This excludes the new Ferrari 499P.
