USEF.GG and Init Esports looking for US Assetto Corsa Competizione Global Esports Games drivers

The hunt for America’s quickest Assetto Corsa Competizione drivers is on, as the nation looks for competitors to represent it at the Global Esports Games.

The event will be held in China this December, with the exact location to be announced at a later date.

The national qualifiers will be held on ACC between 21st and 22nd September, with two races broadcast live on the Init Esports Twitch channel. Registration to take part is now open and closes on 15th September.

One strand of the time attack and qualifying races are open to all athletes, while another is women-only. One driver from each strand (two in total) will be selected to visit China later in the year and compete for honours.

The United States Esports Federation and the aforementioned Init Esports have partnered to find the USA’s representatives for the event.

“As a three-time Women’s Motocross World Champion who moved from Italy to the U.S. to chase my racing dreams, I know firsthand just how costly a career in motorsports can be,” said Stefy Bau, CEO of Init Esports.

“That’s why I’m thrilled to see sim racing levelling the playing field, giving everyone a chance to compete with the best sim racers in the world—regardless of their background.”

“The opportunities this opens up for aspiring champions are limitless – sim racing is not just a game; it’s a direct pathway to real-world racing,” continued Bau, who serves as a member of the USEF.GG Player Selection Committee.

“Seeing it gain the recognition it deserves on the global stage fills me with excitement and hope for a more inclusive future in motorsports.”

This will mark the fourth running of the event, and the first time sim racing will be present –  alongside the likes of Dota 2, PUBG Mobile and Street Fighter.
