The upcoming indie kart racer now has a PC demo available for Steam users, as Karting Superstars gears up for launch later this month.
As the promotion for the title by Original Fire Games ramps up, anyone with a gaming PC can now download a small free version of an early build.
Speaking to Traxion.GG in a recent podcast interview, the team revealed that a demo would be released this week ahead of a launch later in September. The build at present is awaiting further features, such as some form of ‘human DRS’ where the driver ducks behind the wheel.
It carries across some ideas and content from the 2021 Circuit Superstars but changes the perspective from top-down to chase camera, which also requires revised physics and environment detail enhancements. There are also two all-new tracks and the kart has three times the number of polygons of the previous game.
The title will be self-published by the team, too, this time around. If you’d like to try a small taste of what’s to come from Karting Superstars, download the demo right now. You can also watch our hands-on impressions of the work-in-progress version and listen to the full interview.
