iRacing has today (25th July 2022) released an update for Indianapolis Motor Speedway, adding a 2022 version to its roster of configurations.
For those iRacers lucky enough to already own Indianapolis Motor Speedway in-game, the update will be added free of charge, with the superseded layout now represented by its 2009 laser scan date.

The new track release is timely, considering both NASCAR and IndyCar are set to visit the world-famous venue this coming weekend, with IndyCar set to race on Saturday 30th July and NASCAR on Sunday 31st.
Both championships will use the 2022 layout, and those iRacers wishing to simulate the event against AI drivers offline or online will be glad to hear this will be possible from the get-go… although here’s hoping you don’t get involved in a Hamlin/Chastain situation…
The update comes as part of Season 3’s Patch 3 release which also includes fixes for an invisible barrier at Pocono, AMD FSR compatibility issues and resolves several other graphical and set-up problems.
