eNASCAR Qualifying iRacing Series - Road to Pro calendar released

With less than a month until the start of the 2022 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season, hopefuls looking for their chance to advance in to that series now know when their grind begins.

Part one of the 2022 eNASCAR Qualifying iRacing Series, the first step in the iRacing Road To Pro, will begin on 17th February at Daytona International Speedway. The second part of the qualifying season which only includes the Top 70 drivers from the first part will begin on 7th July at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Races will take place on Thursday nights in respect to the Boston, Massachusetts servers. Drivers will be participating in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Class C vehicles. It will also be open setup. It should be noted that the schedule is subject to change. Also, the time slot has not been officially announced, but it would be expected to be 9:00 pm ET as it has been.

HOW IT ALL WORKS

When the series kicks off on 17th February, any iRacer with a Class A license and above a 2.0 safety rating can register and compete. Last year, thousands of drivers readied up and took part in at least one of the first eight races. Points are awarded by the Strength of Field, or SoF, based on driver iRating, and also the split that you end up in.

A higher SoF and split will yield more points. If you win a lower split with a lower SoF, you’ll still get decent points, but likely the driver that finished third in the Top Split will earn more than you. In reality, the top three or four splits will yield the most return and give the greatest possibility to earn enough to advance. The first driver out last season was one of the top drivers in what was usually the sixth or seventh split.

Only the Top 70 drivers advance to the second half of the Qualifying season. Two splits will be run at the same time and points will awarded the same to each finishing result. From that half, the Top 20 or so will advance to the eNASCAR Contender iRacing Series to go against the relegated bottom 20 from the 2022 Coca-Cola Series.

Each round will offer drivers a single drop week towards their final point total. This year, thirteen drivers made their way into the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series through the Road To Pro ladder, nine of those drivers making it for the first time in their career.
