Stunning Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV revealed as part of the VGT programme
The latest car in the long-running Vision Gran Turismo series has been revealed, and for many, it may seem familiar. The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV is a battery electric endurance race car that features four electric motors to deliver a massive 1,903PS for 0-60mph in 1.65 seconds and on to a 255mph top speed.

Impressive figures, all virtually of course. The car is based upon an existing Vision GT model, the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupé, which was revealed in October 2019 and released via a free update within current Gran Turismo title GT Sport. The majority of the styling remains the same for this new car, but the sleek nose and pert rear have been adorned with an aggressive splitter at the front and a frankly outrageous wing at the rear for the SV version.
According to Jaguar Design Director, Julian Thomson, the VGT SV is, “a dramatic and visually arresting car which showcases what’s possible when the traditional boundaries governing real-world car design are completely removed.”
The car doesn’t just live within Gran Turismo code, either, as a full-size concept car has been produced by Jaguar. Of note, the aforementioned rear wing is moveable, deploying at different angles depending on what the car is doing. It’s claimed that this harks back to the XJR-14 Group C race car of the early 1990s. That’s maybe a bit of a stretch, Jaguar…
Things get even more detailed on the inside, where the TYPEFIBRE fabrics tested on Jaguar’s I-TYPE Formula E racer have been used to cover the seats.
