2022 iRacing Season 2 Touring Car Turn Racing Challenge – Week 5 at Suzuka | Dave Cam

You know what they say, sometimes to go faster, you need to start off slower. Wait, Dave Cam said that! As the professor of slow and methodical teaching, Dave would know better. Get ready, because this week is yet another fantastic lesson from the school of Dave Cam.

The fifth week of iRacing‘s 2022 Season 2 takes us to the wondrous Suzuka International Racing Course where Dave and the official series will be wheeling on the Circuit’s Grand Prix layout. There are 17 corners on this full course, which measures 3.61-miles or 5.81-kilometers in length. This FIA Grade 1 track even has a bridge which passes over another section of the course. How neat!

As per usual, Dave will be utilizing the Hyundai Elantra N Touring Car that will be used in the Touring Car Turn Racing Challenge official series. That series hosts the Elantra N, Audi RS 3 LMS, Honda Civic Type R and iRacing’s newest Touring Car, the Hyundai Veloster N TC.

Remember, this is not a place for hot laps. Today, the mantra is to be slow and methodical in the name of learning. Dave’s got you covered, as he’ll teach you the circuit in the way only he can. Braking markers, reference points, quirks, and everything else is all included. Once you get the basics down, well, that’s when the fun starts.

As always, if you’re interested in running this Touring Car series, the full season schedule is listed below. Be sure to check out all of Dave’s other track guides and racing videos on the Traxion.GG platforms. Stay tuned for Dave’s next Pick N’ Mix challenge later this week. Let us know how your lap times improved in the comments below.
